Pirates of the Pandemic

As we transition into distance learning for the remainder of the year it is clear that developing new ways to engage students in learning is going to be key. The teachers below, like pirates, set off on an adventure in order to hook their students. As in any good adventure, they planned their route, took a risk, and rallied their crew to follow along with them. As a reward for their daring ways they received a digital badge to proudly display.

The swashbucklers below completed the Hook Challenge:

  • Jenna Burnside (Middle School Lammersville)
  • Jordan Scheflo (PE Questa)
  • Julia Ulrich (PE Questa)
  • Jill Waters (3rd Grade Questa)
  • Sheree Christensen (Middle School Hansen)
  • Nicole Young (3rd Grade Bethany)
  • Cassandra Skelton (5th Grade Questa)
  • Kate Shultz (4th Grade Altamont)

View their creative hooks on the Padlet.

Do you have a creative hook strategy that you have used? Add it to the Padlet and you may find yourself rewarded with a bit-o-treasure.
